For those that don't know, this seal from Flaretite is providing the 37 and 45 degree flare a leak free seal, and is guaranteed not to leak if torqued to the correct specs.

These seals have been around since about 2002.

When it comes to pipe threads (NPTF or NPT), I always use this stuff...

HP45-50

NEVER had a leak yet. Just clean the threads, apply a few drops and let it cure for at least an hour. A bottle of this stuff lasts FOREVER too.
