OK, How about a chain link fence wrapped around the drum? It was laying flat deep in the brush and unavoidable. It jammed into the cutter blade, I needed to flip mulcher over to get everything out. No damage, just cost me a whole day.

How did you take a picture of my machine without me knowing? :)

That's a frequent site for me. Also find a lot of old mattress box springs. Barbed wire or electric fence wire is the worst. It wraps so tight you can't get wire cutters between it and the drum (for those of us with smooth drums)

I've been able to get a lot of stuff out by rolling the cutter backwards on the ground. Get a loose end, then run over it with the track, drive forward and it will often pull it off. SOmetimes you have to repeat several times, but it's better that spending hours cutting.

A trick I use if it's to tight to roll like that is to rap a chain around the rotor 2 or 3times with a hook onto a tooth, tie the other to a tree and quietly drive back, saves a s##t load of blood:D

Nope first pass, had to make two but you cant do it all at once the slope is too steep. Pictures don't do the slopes justice. They are steep very steep. The Lamtrac just crawls up it. Its comical it looks like a caterpillar crawling up the slope, dual articulation. Goes through lots man.

Nice work, looks a little muddy from the pics. what were you doing there? Clearing a swamp?> Definitly needed a wide track. Your ASV would have been better suited than the Tak. Can you run your Fecon with the Tak? I heard of overheating the pump on those machines.

The mulcher that the fence got caught in. That is the rig I need to clear road side brush. How much are one of those, what speeds do they run at, do they have some kind of shear pin, or slip clutch, what are their limitations? How heavy is that unit.....nice pics.

The mud shot was from some ROW maintenance I am doing...my EX-employee thought it could float (no, that's not why he got let go)

Here's one of me stuck back in the spring.

It wasn't as bad as it looks.

My turn. I just returned from this startup. The powerpack is a Versatrac 170 hp unit and a DAH-150E with 160 cc motor. The pack puts out 65 gpm @ 5500 psi. We didn't get to run it in the woods yet put she SCREAMS on startup's. :D

Watching those videos makes me want to buy one just to try it out. That looks like fun, but it looks like you could run off in a creek or something and not know it until it's too late. Can you see anything?
