PICTURES ONLY thread

Thought it might be fun (and helpful to others searching for LS info) to have a thread where every post has a picture of an LS tractor doing something. There are lots of threads with pictures, but there is a lot of "chatty" space between them.

The rule of this thread is... EVERY POST MUST HAVE A PICTURE !!! Even if you're responding to someone else's pic, you must include one yourself. Discussions on pics & such are welcome, but you still need to supply a pic (preferable a new one that we haven't seen yet) every time you post. LS only. Yes... you can still be chatty... you just have to add a pic! The tractor can be the focus of the pic, or even be in the background somewhere... doesn't matter as long as you supply a pic with an LS tractor.

I'll start... My LS R4041:

With a 72" rake

Using the Middle-Buster plow

The above is Post #1 of this thread, showing the OP’s intent for this thread, in case anyone is interested?

Good luck with your move! Community and neighbors are very important for piece of mind.

strong fences make good neighbors.....which is why I put up a fence a couple years ago.

ok in keeping the rules and regs for the thread, a pic or two of my wife on the tractor for the first time. Some of y'all have already seen these in another thread, but for those who haven't, here ya go

Yep, it’s. 7’ x 7’ HD chain harrow. I’m working on a 3-point lift frame for it, for mobility.

That’s tall stuff your mowing. What kind of cutter do you have?

I've got a J Bar 5' bush hog. Guy was in the hospital off and on all year last year and didn't get it mowed at all. I told him keep my number, I'd be glad to come back again next year. He's only 7 miles from me.

Today I got the new PTO shaft and the last of the new tines on the tiller and got my garden spot turned under. Man I'm loving this little tractor for sure!

New garden or food plot?

thanks! its my garden spot, but I've had one here the last 3 years, never was one before that though. We just bought the place in 2014. I've put a lot of 'stuff' in though, we hauled wood chips and horse manure for months and piled on, spread and tilled in. Not to mention all the leaves I can get every fall. One of the main reasons I wanted PTO chipper, so I can keep a pile of chips composting all the time....speaking of chipper, here we go ;) my bx42 right as I was finishing putting it together

Nice chipper. You'll get good service from it. I need one too so, keep us posted on how well it works for you. I also want a PTO driven unit.

Here's my North Star Splitter. I bought a North Star Chipper with, as I recall, a 13 HP gas engine. It was not great. Traded it back to Northern Tool, for my splitter, about 10 years ago.

Zip tied up 2 of the 6 LED lights to the ROPS and ran some wires along the frame with some switchs... Pretty freakin bright for just 2 small lights but not quite daylight!

love that splitter! My tractor doesn't have rear remotes, I plan to add them sometime in the future, for that exact purpose.

about the chipper. It's the one from Titan. couple of things about it, first off it's not quick hitch compatible, so today I finish my project of making it so. Second, my tractor is the 24.4 hp with 19.2 PTO, when they say it probably won't do over 3" with less than 30 PTO hp, they're right. I still don't understand why it wouldn't, because isn't 540 rpm the same regardless? Also, it's not a shredder, and it doesn't like small limbs with leaves AT ALL. if you're pushing those through, better have something 1 1/2" to 2" to push through with it. Watch the chute, and if the chips aren't coming out, stop immediately and clean it out! OR, there's another broken sheer bolt, ask me how I know ;)

This is the wallenstein clone. Titan's website gives a link for the manual, that doesn't work. You actually have to go to the bx62 model where the link works, because the manual covers all models. And get this, they use the exact wallenstein manual. I know this because it gives the wrong size for the sheer bolts.

this one also doesn't have an optional leg kit, something else I might dig around in the scrap pile and see if I have something to make some legs for. The Farm Hand version of this DOES have the leg kit, so I'll look at it and go from there ;)

it is fast though as long as your feeding something through it in the 1 1/2 to 2" range, it'll chew em right up and keep on plugging! and the chips are a good size if you want to pile em up and compost em for the garden or flower beds for mulch.....

here's a scoop of chips, a good way to practice 'scooping' with the FEL

I did get my set up done for making the chipper QH compatible. it was soooo close, if I set it up on blocks, I could get it under there. but the top hook would only utilize one bolt, with it as low as it could go, and the pin in the chipper in the top hole. I fixed that today, and since I was making it fit, I figured I might as well make it so I don't have to change the top hook, it's now set up to use the same configuration as everything else.

I took a piece of 3/4" black pipe, notched it to fit and welded it in place. Then I took some flat stock, and welded over the edge on each side, to give it even more 'hold', as I'm not a welder who would do anything for anyone else, then painted it with some paint I had that was really really close. I plan to paint it to match the tractor, as well as a couple of other 'older' implements I have. I'll buy a quart of paint and get out the gravity feed sprayer one day.

ok, here's a few pics.

I remanufactured the 3 pt hook up on an old hay rake to work with my quick hitch. This thing is good for dry leaves and great for pine straw....

another project I did this week, was fix some pipe so I could clamp them onto my loader bucket, so I could use my boom pole out front. There's been a few times I needed a bit more 'reach', and while I realize I don't need to pick up anything heavy with it, it's going to come in handy for things I can't quite reach or need to lift higher. Mostly planning to use this for rafters/trusses on an upcoming storage building add on I'm planning

a couple of pieces of pipe welded to some 1 1/4" tubing, and chain the top to the hook I welded in the middle of the bucket

Not to make more work for you after finally finishing 'deckasaurus', but that looks like enough lumber to make some really nice deck benches/seats :D

I 'remanufactured' an old hay rake to work with the 3 pt hitch. makes an excellent rake for leaves, but ESPECIALLY for pine straw! IMG_9068.JPG
