I strapped a bunch of cement blocks onto the back rack of my Fourtrax 2x4 machine plus added chains to get enough traction to plow with it before I got my truck plow. The plus is you could easily pull some speed with the auto clutch but heavy sticky snow was a pain.

I agree which is why I'm building a similar snowblower setup that quickly attaches to the bucket of my tractor. It is geared plenty low for that job and 4x4 helps in a big way.

If your going to that extent for a snow blower you should buy a Rotax 2 cycle go cart engine
or find an old 2 cycle snowmobile engine to use for it rather than a 4 cycle engine as they are
lighter and have a monster amount of useable torque for the intended use.

Even better would be a pair of single stage snowblower rotors from an original john deere or an
original IHC cub cadet paired with a 2 cycle snowmobile engine.

Mahindra EMax20s 48" 2 stage blower,, Berco 40 inch universal cab and modified the brackets to work. I chose the universal, because the cab is not as tall, and I had already cut shortened and rewelded the rops to fit under a standard garage door.

The only thing left to do for my install is to put a 1 inch grommet in the cab for the chute crank, and put the rubber tire chains on.

Nice build..
How do you plan to handle the melted snow after a storm and coming in on the wood floor? Is there a drain?

I plan to park in our heated garage on a concrete floor when necessary. If we get a big storm.

In the event I end up keeping it on the wood floor at times, I'm not too concerned. The floor slopes toward the door. Shovel the excess out, let the floor dry If the ply starts getting soft in a few years, 15/32 ply is $30 a sheet.

I built my previous shed in 1986, and kept my old tractor and blower on it all winter. That shed is still in use as a she shed. I only replaced a small section of flooring once in 34 years.

Adequate air flow in the shed is helpful. I have a ridge vent and two gable vents on each end which I hope does the job

Re: Wood Floor

I bought a shed around 2002 that has a PT floor. Parked the B7500, L3200 and now the old Ford tractors there and the floor wasn't a problem (except for one spot where a critter chewed up from the bottom).

Built a new shed recently and it has a PT wood floor and a couple coats of penetrating stain. The L4240 lives there.

Usually I brush as much snow off the tractors as I can before putting them in the sheds to minimize melt.

If I'm out on the salty roads they get rinsed off. At times it helps to hose them off to get rid of packed snow or ice instead of chipping away at it.

Wondering about that log splutter in front of the tracked snowblower... Does it run off the tractor hydraulics or is it an independent unit with its own engine

It has an8 hp Subaru motor, pump, and 8 gallon reservoir.

Hay Dude how do you like your aluminum flatbed ? How's it holding up? What did you pay and where did you get it ? I'm thinking of putting a flat bed on one of my 99's since they want $3,000 for a regular bed no tailgate.:confused2: I hate salt !!!:drink:

Really like them. I have 2 trucks with aluminum flat beds. I also had an F550 with a steel flatbed.
2020 RAM 5500 with 9 EBY
2008 (removed) F350 with 9 Martin

Steel is more goof proof. If youre carrying anything heavy/pointy, I suggest steel. Aluminum looks better longer and of course no rust. A sheet of 3/4” treated plywood can help tremendously

They are holding up well, but I also take great care of them when Im loading cargo.

The Martin bed is nicer, but to be fair, I built the Martin bed with thicker aluminum. I highly suggest the heavier gauge aluminum diamond plate if you carry anything heavy and pointy. Itll dent the thin aluminum. I built the EBY bed a little lighter to keep the truck weight down to allow more heavy towing capacity.
I dont carry boulders or anything that will damage the beds. I use them for towing or carrying loader buckets and other attachments.
