The plow is no further out then the bucket. And I can just barely open the hood where the plow is now. And at 400lbs the plow isn't nothing the tractor at all.

Not to say closer wouldn't be better.
Ok. Just curious. I know it won't do any damage like a loader but was just wondering

Looks good, have you considered a brace back to the mid or rear section of the tractor.
A truck has a full length frame where as the tractor front is a sub frame tied to the front of the engine,
It wasn't many years ago when our truck, jeep and scout plows actually had attachment points under the cabs
back about where the seats mounted.
My next step would be to add a brace down the middle and have it attach to the loader frame. Just not sure how necessary it would be. I did a lot of researching and have seen it with and without rear "strout" braces.

Attach my 7' plow to the front end of my JD 4300, using the weight bar and belly mower plates.
Working great, is quick to attach, and held up for 18 snow seasons.

Why just not use the loader, on my case I have just welded a quick attach plate to the plow? It’s simple, and you can pill the snow higher.

Have no need to pile snow up higher than I can with the front blade as mounted.. would guess 6-7' is high enough.. ;)

For moving snow further back, like over the ditch edge, then I put the wing plow on. Last winter, and so far this winter, there has been no need to use the wing plow tho.

My buddy sent me this picture of a cat 950, Word is he was trying to break the frozen crust off the salt pile and it slide down pulling the loader down:eek:
