Do you have a rubber edge on the roof rake? Looks like a great way to get the roof cleaned.

Like the setup Rustyiron.

28 degrees and snowing again, I had enough snow but my dog loves it.

Trails end good eye on Eric's rear lug, Drew nice table. Looks like every one is ready to take snow plows and blowers off of tractors.

It's a simple PT 2X10X8' that has an angle iron bolted to the back of it, a few inches above the edge to stregnthen the wood. I built in some "swivel" so that the machine does not need to be on the same plane as the roof. Last summer I checked the roof out for any damage or dents from clearing it in the past, no problems. The wood edge seems to be fine for this job and I never really wory about scraping it clean, just getting most of the snow (weight) off. It makes for a pretty good clean up job!

(it's also a metal roof)

A treated board is a good idea, it probably glides nicely over the snow covered metal.

Added a rear blade to mine last month. Loader just wasn't cutting it. We have more snow than I've seen here since we bought the house in 2006. Kids sure are loving the piles I made for them!

Last Winter shoveling all the snow on our 1/3 mile driveway wore me out when the snow plow service we thought we had lined up failed to respond. This year Winter is no longer daunting with our new snow removal machine. It takes me about a half an hour to do our driveway, parking areas, and neighbor's drives. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/snow-removal/412892-pictures-your-snow-weapons-p2040048-jpg"/> <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/snow-removal/412894-pictures-your-snow-weapons-p2040046-jpg"/>

Nice looking setup, does that plow require the expensive hydraulic pump setup or does it have its own?

Last year I was using a bigger Unimog (now sold) and I happened into this Unimog 406 EX-BW Cabrio "bagger" (backhoe, or excavator in German) for a replacement. Much different Unimog than the square cab but I really like it. Soft top is actually pretty weather proof, I was surprised.

Seems to clear snow just fine (3 videos, will only let me embed one):
