Someone that has a Pronovost blower.
I just got a new B2920 this summer and the dealer put a Pronovost Puma 72 in the package.
I know nothing about these blowers ( the dealer said they were very good) and was a little concerned that it was to large for the tractor. The dealer said it would handle it ( we get enough snow in east Canada) The dealer also said to try it and if I wanted the smaller size take it back and get what I want. Hard to not give it a try under those terms.
Since you have one what problems / issues should I look for with this blower.

Al, I only bought the blower about a month ago so I can't be of much help commenting on it. It is solid but needs paint. Pronovost seems to have a good reputation from what I've seen. I had the seller hook it up and spin it to make sure it didn't have any vibrations / bent parts. There was no manual with it so on the advice of Dave M7040 and contacted Pronovost. They e-mailed me a PDF the same day.

Plan is to get it painted, reassembled and add electric chute controls before the snow flies.

Thanks guys. I really like it.

Smallest would be a 401 to 411 series, 25-32hp. I used to have a 401 hard cab (most are soft top)

For size comparison

If your looking for a 406 there's a fellow on here "Vonsmog", he's a round cab guy, restoration, parts, service, sales. Nice fellow to boot.

I know it's a snow thread but here's a 411 with mower:

Here's another 411 outfitted for snow, if you go to his YouTube page he's got log splitters, etc for it:

Oh man that 401 is exactly what I'd like to have!

I'd love to get a snowblower too, but all I got is this, an 8 ft Hiniker with the most epically tight quick-change ever devised. Less than 1/8" play side to side, with no taper. Took me 20 minutes just to get the QC on with pry bars helping. Thus the triumph of making sure everything worked when I bolted it all together.

We don't get a lot of snow here in SW Va. Last year we did get a couple of heavy snows 18 in and 12 in and I was ready as I picked up this tool I mean toy. Honda Pioneerimage.jpg

Now that's how you make snow banks. :)

I use a UTV with plow often. It is a fast way to work if not too much snow, banks are not too high, etc.

Then take the banks down with a wing..
