It's time for a cab on the snow removal equipment. :2cents:

You'd think I was using a snow blower wouldn't you. Unfortunately, no cab in my future.

Rustyiron You will be disappointed :( its brown to green in color now. Supposed to hit 70 today - two weeks ago we were in the 30's. Got everything done, so if I did jinx myself its all good. With tiller on I have great traction for plowing snow if needed. Now time to start the garden plants indoors.

Re: Pictures of your snow weapons, storm of 3-14-17

My Subie Forester with snow tires got stuck on the road coming to my house. It got high centered on the snow. It also needs a low range. Lousy walk in dress shoes.
The town snow plow drivers were not too happy, but kudo's to them for not pushing it into a snow bank.

Besides plowing whats in the photos, I also cleared out 1/2 the Horse paddaock, the road to the manure pile and the area and loop around the critter barn, Lean to side of equipment building, my 1/4 mile driveway, and I helped my one of my neighbors with his 1000' ft driveway. They were trying to plow +16-18" of snow with pair for 4 wheelers. Snow was fairly dry, but fine dense heavy powder, not at all fluffy.

Another neighbor uses a big 4 Wheeler with a hydraulic or electric plow lift, and a 60 gallon plastic tank on the rack, plus tire chains. I was impressed that he actually made some progress on his small driveway. Seemed a better set up than a small CUT with just a bucket or walk behind snow blower for a Snow Weapon, at least the way he had his 4 Wheeler set up.

Total I plowed for about 8 hours. Snow melts eventually, but wears you and your machine.
The front chains help with steering alot. This little +8,000 lb tractor can really push snow. The Soft Cab actually does a good job of keeping me comfortable. Best $500 I've spent in a while. I wish it had defrost and Windshield wiper.

We only lost power for 5 hours, some had it way worse.
