stu, i don't know if you're interested, but kubota makes a grill guard that will fit on your tractor. it bolts right on behind the front weight bracket. it is not the regular grill guard. it might be handy if you get into heavy brush when mowing.

Does anyone have a picture of this Grill Guard?

Thanks!

I do but I am not sure if you can use it with your weights. This one comes with the loader.

it looks like the standard only it is made so that the weights and bracket will fit on also. your dealer should have the part number. it is pinned on both sides like the standard one to allow for opening the hood.

I might add that because I am in the woods so much that I covered that grill guard with 1/4" mesh rock crusher screen.

I spoke with my dealer today and he is going to order the grill guard and bracket. The weight bracket I have on now is removed, and the weights are hung on the bottom of the grill guard.

Add the screen for SURE.......my Ford 3400 took a stick up thru an opening in the hood and side panel...seemingly impossible.......and poked my radiator. Not only did the part cost alot, but I was down for over a week and that cost me even more. 1st thing I did was add mesh to the grill guard so it wouldn't happen again.

No point in using expanded metal. Its just not strong enough. Go to a pit where they crush stone and ask for a damaged screen. They may give you one or charge you a very small fee.

the grill guard that normally comes with a loader won't work. the one stu needs allows for the weights to be taken off or put on. the regular one doesn't have enough clearence for the weights. in the summer when i am doing hay, i take the loader off and put the weights on. also when i'm brush- hogging. when i put the loader back on, i can take the weight's off but leave the front weight bracket on. the weights have to come off for clearence for the loader. hope that makes sence.

Not a dumb question, and yes it has AC and Heat. The AC wasn't the primary reason for the cab, it was the darn yellow jackets that just seem to find me evey summer........last year I got stung 12 times, 3 times in one day.......and so yes the AC will be nice.........but not having to worry about getting nailed by yellow jackets is worth it to me.

Stu

I only asked because all the AC units I've seen up here sit up on top of the cab and are obviously AC units. Obviously yours is better integrated. Best of luck with the new machine. Color me green!
