Sort of related to this forum, but I've been intrigued by some of the recent incentives on full-sized vehicles. I have an 06' F-150 Super Crew that I absolutely love....best vehicle I've ever owned and I have had no interest in parting with it.
BUT....
Ford is now offering employee pricing plus owner loyalty AND standard rebate on all F-Series pickups. I called my closest dealer tonight to inquire about the ads I'd been seeing/hearing and this is what I learned.
-I asked about "employee" pricing and was told that it wasn't an exact percentage off the sticker but rather a number that FoMoCo reaches on its own and that would apply to all dealers and the dealer has no say over it. The example I was given was an F-150 stickering at $33k was around $26K per employee pricing.
-There is a standing $3500 rebate on all F-Series regardless of the situation.
-There is an additional $5k Owner Loyalty rebate for anyone who currently owns and wishes to trade-in a 1998 or newer Ford pickup.
I talked to the salesman and he confirmed that anyone with a Ford pickup and in my situation would be looking at roughly around $14,000 +/- off of sticker to trade.
Even though I have mine now on 0%/60 month term, and essentially paying sticker price over time, this is tugging at me. The few rough numbers I've run applying my current payoff versus the examples I have from the dealer with reasonable interest are pointing toward the trade. Sitting at the desk with the salesman could be different.
Just me thinking out loud in case any others were wondering about this too.
