Picking up BX24 tomorrow

I checked with my dealer today. He said that he had ordered a few dozen just in case. Put one on reserve for me when they come in. Quoted $25 with the exchange. It's a little lame since my brand new BX24 should have come with the new seat in the first place, but it's better than $200.

I have found that some dealers are charging different amounts for it. I may pick up a spare if I can.

The old seat is thin, and slopes forward, which makes you tend to slide forward or out of the seat while mowing and such.

Not to mention it's hard on "The Boys".

it looks like the "new" seat has a little hump in the middle of the front cushion.....please correct me if im not seeing the difference. i have a bx 24 that has this seat that i got in nov 2006 with the upgraded fenders the orange has a few extra ribs no metal under for support, but not sure on the battery screen can anyone describe the problem with that?

I just bought my BX24 and the salesman pointed out that it had the new seat. I don't know what the old seat looked like or felt like. "My Boys" are so far happy.
