pickin up leaves, what do you use?

I have a homemade tractor and a pull type lawn sweeper, I then dump them along my plowed garden and the riding mower blows them into the furrows which work up very nice next spring.Beats raking.

I made a cover plate that goes over the opening of the mower deck to block anything that tries to get out. Works real good for mulching leaves.

I mow most of them! When they get too thick, I use this set-up & use them for mulch out back:

No not really :D

But, I am interested, what do you guys do with all those leaves? Shred and mulch?

We just leave them in a pile in the woods. They compress down to about 1/4 their original size by spring. Sometimes I take the pallet forks on the tractor and push them back into the woods further and turn them over at the same time. Then I get the worms from the leaf pile and go fishing!

8HP Track Vac fed by MMM behind Mighty Mouse. Shreds leaves nicely. We do acres around the edges of our fields. They go in the manure pile for composting.

I just lawn mowed them and let them compost in place. Don't just let them lay. I used to have a couple of maples and when the leaves dropped they'd be knee high walking through them, then I'd run a lawn mower and that sucker'd be spitting out a solid stream of leaf bits. Then rake it out all nice and even. Easy on me and good for the yard. I had some s**t hot grass then.

Same here, put on a mulching plug and go over them 2 or 3 times. done it when leaves were higher than the deck but as much as yours. One day later all disappeared - good for the grass, good for my back, why pick them up?
