OK guys I am going to help you out. All this key talk is driving me nuts. To save you guys the hassle of trying to discribe you key to Len, Ernie or anybody else, I am posting a picture of the 3 most common Yanmar keys. Keep in mind that sometimes the Japanese farmer may lose his keys and replace the ignition switch with a generic switch and key. I have had a Yanmar with a Shibaura ignition and key and etc, etc.
The left key is very common. It is what you would call a double cut. The reverse side has TR on it. It is the key that fits the JD 850, 950 etc.
The middle key is probably the one I see the least of. It is single cut. On the reverse side the blade section is smooth with no grooves. The reverse side also has Yanmar on it. The side shown has the number 633 stamped in it.
The next key is very common. It is single cut. Has the words *** San on both sides and the number 30 stamped on the front side.
I hope this helps.
