I didn't get any more pictures taken after that, but I did get one more wall section poared to close off the north side of the barn. What I didn't get done was to poar the section where the rear door will be and I had water coming in through the opening all winter.

That is the opening in this picture where the gate panel is across the rear of the barn.

Most of this summer was tied up with repairing equipment, getting ready for the TBN picnic I host in August, and various other chores which didn't get done the last two summers.

Fall has come about a month early this year so not much will get done on the barn, but I did get the opening in the rear of the barn poared today.

This wall is only as tall as the top of the columns and the floor will sit on top of it. It is not included in the 16 wall sections I mentioned earlier.

I hope I won't need my rear blade any time soon. It just occured to me after posting the last pictures that I parked the hay trailer in front of it. Now that the rains are here I can't move the trailer until it's nearly empty.:( There's over 17,000 lbs of hay sitting on the trailer.

Your not alone, we got standing water too. :( But how else do you get some mud on the tires. :D Very nice job Cyril. Looks like a totally different barn from the original one.

Thanks Jimmy. Probably won't do much until late spring now, but you never know. If money allows, I might be able to start framming some of the outer walls and getting the north side sealed up. It's all just time and money... both of which have been tight this year.:(

Cyril,

Great project. Loving all the pictures and comments.

I'm confused about the big post in the middle of what looks like it should be a HUGE doorway. Is it big enough on either side to get yoru trailer through it, or am I looking at the back side in those pictures?

Why the concrete walls instead of block?

Congrats on your progress so far. I'm looking forward to your updates and future posts.

Eddie
