Perfect Match

I’m adding some remotes to my tractor and needed to weld a mounting plate to the FEL cross support.

After reading the posts about paint color I decided to give Dupli-Color Engine Enamel, DE1620 Chevrolet Orange (WalMart) a try.

All I can say is it’s a perfect match compared to my hood (see attachment). I was a bit apprehensive about the paint quality but was very please with application and the final result.

I had a can of Kubota paint – what a waste of money.

Yeah, the Kubota paint. It doesn't even match. What a joke that is. The only thing I've found that's good about it is that it's pretty durable....way stronger than spray paint.

Is there a match for the Kubota Gray color also?

Hi thats a great match,

Another quality brand that is good for spray cans is plasticoat engine paint ,it seems to keep a nice shine when used on a engine, but not sure if the color match would be so close... great job!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

When I painted small areas with the DE1620 paint, it looked great. When my bucket touchup project turned into a bucket repaint job, however, I was still pleased with the result but it wasn't perfect - too orange. The Kubota spray doesn't look like it matches when it goes on, but it seems to match more and more as it cures. Almost perfect. I haven't tried the brush on Kubota variety. I was planning on trying that out next time around unless folks here think that that's nuts.
