Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs, How do you do it?

/ Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs, How do you do it? #71
I have often used the left over juice from a "nice" (not your BICS Vinegar) jar of pickles and added hard boiled eggs. Put them in the back of the fridge and kind of forget about them. One day, you think about them and rush to the fridge to enjoy.

My lady friend has pickled our beets but they are usually too vinegary.

Very easily with this amazing tool.
I bought on of these a few years ago and the shells literally fall off when you peel them.
Even day old farm fresh eggs, which if you know anything about them, the fresher an egg is, the harder it is to peel (especially farm eggs) the older an egg is, the easier it is to peel.
With this it doesn't matter the age of the egg.

And now the begining of the thread has come full circle!
Glad I could help, this has helped me to be able to enjoy eggs more than I ever have before!
I wonder if they will give me kickbacks?

I tried making pickled green beans a few years ago and that was my opinion of them. Once was enough.

I don't like eggs (especially hard boiled), but I've done that with cucumbers. Interesting taste...not much like the pickles that came in the jar but still good. What's BICS vinegar?

We keep a variety of pickles on hand, but I rarely eat them myself. However I do eat quite a few deviled eggs and I add one tablespoon of juice from the sweet pickles to the 1/8th teaspoon each of salt and pepper, 1/2 tablespoon of mustard, and 3 tablespoons of miracle whip for 6 hard boiled eggs. I do like pickled beets in salads, but rarely have them.

Ok now 8 pages of Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs, How do you do it? has some very good information here, but I think you all have created something.

Now I believe the people in our small town have switched from purchasing all of the TP & PT, to purchasing all of the eggs so they can tryout all of the ways to peel them...

If I hard boil then I will give them a cold rinse then when it comes to peeling I just put it in a small glass like a 6 oz juice glass and shake it around until it looks clean. I much prefer poached which is putting water in a cereal bowl and gently sliding an egg minus the shell into it then microwaving for a minute and a half. when it comes out there is always enough egg that sticks to bowl to make it easy to pour the water out then onto my toast.

Who would have thunk it?

Good news is, in the spring I'll start getting my new chicken coops and hens houses built to get the flock going there, so you know where you can aquire farm fresh eggs!
