PB loop fitting preferences??

Hi, I am choosing fittings for my remotes. I am wondering if swept 90 degree fittings are better to use on the p and PB loop? I would prefer to use cheaper standard 90's but I don't know if they build more heat or restrict more to a point that it makes a difference? This loop will have four 90's added. My loader valve does use the swept variety.

Theoretically, a straight path is best, but with the intermittent use of hyd in a mobile situation 90's probably would not.make a difference.

Only way for you to know is to try several fittings arrangments.

But your fittings down on the hydraulic block are not, are they? Mine on my 3215 are not. I would not worry about having the swept 90s. The small amount of additional heat build up will make no difference.

Yes thanks Brian and your correct, they are 90 at the block. And along with that question Is it ok to use the same Jic #6 fittings? The valves are SAE 8 and rated for 8 GPM. I questioned if I should be using the JIC 8 vs 6? The pump is rated at 7.8.

Brian, for your t and t do you supply the qd's and if so what connection should I have on the bulkhead fitting to accept your QD fittings? Also do your t an t kits include a flow restricttion or should I build that in upstream?

Typically I try to use #8 sizes over 6 GPM, but here KMW uses #6 fittings for the loader down on the hydraulic block. You should be ok with the #6s, but I would use #8s everywhere I could for all the feeder lines. Simply allows for better flow and less heat build up.

If you purchase a complete top & tilt set, yes the hoses come with the male AG type couplers. Industry std is ISO 5675 in 1/2" size. I would suggest that that is what you use, but I will provide whatever size you specify, try to stay with that ISO number though, less money and most common.

As far as the flow restrictors, I build those myself and have them built into the cylinder fittings. These are sized to the cylinder diameter, not a one size fits all type of thing.
