Pat's Quick Hitch

   / Pat's Quick Hitch #21
I've used Pat's on my smaller Kubota tractors and they worked well. I don't use them on my larger MX5800 and L6060 though. I have T&T kits on both tractors and the Pat's extends the lift arms around 4". This reduces the lift range of the top link cylinder. Not worth buying a longer hyd. top link just to use the Pat's.

Also, I have to get off the tractor anyway to hook up the top link. It isn't that much extra effort to hook up the lift arms, especially with the telescoping arm feature on both tractors.

Pats are a 'bolt on' quick fix. I use them and my friend uses them. I have a lot of attachments with varying pin widths. The Pats fits them all. I did make a 4" extension for the top link. It is simply 2 heavy plates that pins onto the tractor. I extended the PTO with a quick coupler. And everything can be removed in minutes if I wanted. Also a quick hitch limits PTO connection access, which is hard enough already

Depends. It adds 4" of length to your shaft so do you have 4" of shaft to spare before running into issues?
You can always add a PTO shaft extender if your shaft is too short, something I do on my Cat 2 units. Pats hitch don't work with my units anyway but I need the PTO extender because of various shaft lengths. I either use a shaft extender or an over running coupler, depending on what I have on the back.

I agree. I do the same. Hydraulic top and tilt links plus the telescoping arms make connecting implements easy.

I have pats on my L6060. Like you, I do have T&T as well. You don't have to purchase a longer Hydro top link to use pats. You do have to extend the top link as scootr has done. There are several methods out there that have been discussed on other forums. This was my solution which has held well up over the past few years.

That's a possibility, but for me anyway, it's not that much extra effort to skip the Pat's.

I'm a big fan of this. The Euro Hooks. Honestly, about the only type of quick hitch worth getting. It just works every time. No frames in the way, doesn't extend the arms any further, retains the ball joint that is super important on the 3 pt, lasts pretty much a lifetime.

Got a link for Euro hooks? When I search for euro hooks I get pegboard hooks. Euro Hooks is a company that makes them.

It's technically called lower link hooks but the popular name is Euro hooks.

Here is a US store for those with very very good prices.

Brian at @MtnViewRanch also sells them and I believe he also welds them on if you need.

Thanks, I'm not interested on weld-on though, websites call them weld-on quick hitch ends.
I might see the day I want to use cat 2 implements and my old cat 1 implements.
