I got a set of Pat's from the TractorBy Net black Friday sale to put on my new Kubota B2650. I have older model Pat's on my other tractors and between them and a hydraulic top link, hooking up an implement is not easy but the least difficult that I can make it. Imagine my surprise when I went out a couple of days ago to install the new Pat's and they didn't fit!. The first thing to note is that although the design hasn't really change, Pat's are no longer fabricated from steel plating, but rather forged whole. That is not the problem. The issue came in trying to push the pins through the lower arm receiver balls (for want of the technical name). The pins were two large. I thought at first it might be that the paint having not worn off was impeding them. But, no, the pins were just too large. I don't think this was Kubota's problem. Pictured is my solution . Fortunately I had some pins on hand that were right sized. One of the Pat's pins is at the bottom of the photo. Since I don't have need for the Pat's spreader bar (adjustable sway bars rather than turn buckles on the Kubota) these will work just fine. Maybe some one one ought to tell Pat's.

I too got Pat's on the black Friday sale and they installed perfectly on my Kioti CK2610HST.

Someone may have packed the wrong pins possibly.

I also bought through Tractorbynet black Friday sale. I got Pat's cat 2 to cat 1. They are welded steel not cast. Mine came with 2 1 1/8" pins, one fit and 1 didn't. It looked like maybe it wasn't forged quite right. A little grinding and it slipped right in.

What difference does it make whether PAT'S is forged or fabricated from steel plating? Just curious.

Should result in more uniform fit.

Not sure what's going on with the pins.

The Pat's are cast,,, not forged,,

if they were forged, they would cost three times what fabricated ones would cost,,

Mine are perfect, but, I did change the hardware to Grade 8 bolts, of the correct length,, no nuts,,,

Now, I gotta use them for something besides carrying my chain,,, :confused2:

I guess that "cast" means that they are poured steel into a mold. Forged products must be a special treatment for durability. Guess I could (google) look all that up. As to PAT'S, I guess a "cast" product is all that's is needed for ordinary usage.

I gotta get me some of those grade 8 bolts of the correct length.....That sure makes a cleaner looking mount.
