Ag King 2840
I just bought a 2007 Ag King 2840 (I believe it it the same as a JInma 284) I need some parts for it and was wondering if anyone knew of a source of used parts?:)

I am guessing it came from Rural King.
Naw, they quit selling Jinmas several years ago. They used to call them TractorKing. They switched over to Foton, and they're about to quit selling them too. They're trying to decide now whether to sell McCormick or Massey Ferguson

I am located in bayou country of south Louisiana. The parts I need is the drive shaft for the front end and an engine block. It froze during the winter and now get radiator water in the oil. I pulled the head and oil pan and confirmed the leak is on the right side above the oil pump pickup. I am in the process of pulling the engine so I can confirm exactly where the problem is. If I can get to in, I should be able to weld it.

Ya, you are right Greg. Got my "Kings" mixed up.

Having a major line at RK would be a nice thing. I have been looking to upgrade my tractor and really considered the BobCat 335 but the price jumped before I pulled the trigger. Only 6 months ago you could pick one up with a loader for about 14K, now they are 21K. I would imagine if RK sold McCormick or Massey they would have some killer deals to launch the line they chose.

Tommy at Affordable Tracotors is in TX between Houston and Dallas so he will probably be your best bet for shipping reasons.

Can not believe it got that cold down there???? We see -30 here from time to time and no issues. Did you not have any anti-freeze in it?

Well, it got down to 18 for a couple of days which is cold for down here. Evidently the guy who owned it then didn't put anti-freeze in or drain it. Water is coming into the base oil cavity on the right side just above the oil pump pick up. I am in the process of pulling the engine to see if I can get to it to weld it. I bought it cheap enough so I can put enough money in it to fix it if necessary but the cheaper I do it the better. If not, I can always part it out.

Thanks Tommy for your response. I will give you a call Monday and talk about what parts I need. I have a long list.

See, joining a forum is an excellent way to find what you are looking for. Thanks:)

:)Well guess what I found. While I was tearing down the engine, I pulled the valve lifter cover off of the right rear of the engine and found a freeze plug had fallen out. I have never seen an engine with a freeze plug inside before. So, I don't have a cracked block. All I need to do is put in a new freeze plug and put the engine back together. I hope Affordable tractor supply has all of the parts I need in stock. Glad I didn't pull the engine all the way out before I took it apart.
