Parts for John Deere 4020

Does anyone know where to get a pivot valve for the hydraulic system that will fit on a John Deere 4020 tractor? I've been told that you can't get them from JD

With 21 + years experience working at a JD dealership I must ask what are you referring to as a "pivot valve"? What part # are you looking for?

I wasn't there when the repair person came so this is second hand info. He reportedly said that the "pivot valve for the hydrolytic system was worn & needed replacing & JD didn't support it anymore". I haven't looked in my manual yet & thought I might get a quick answer. Guess I'll have to do my homework & call him; then find in my manual. It sounded a bit funny to me but I haven't done much work on the hydrolytic system. Thanks for the reply

Some parts are a little tricky to locate on JDparts.com. If you experience any difficulty locating the part someone on this site will be happy to assist you. I wonder if your mechanic meant pressure control or stroke control valve. Most 4020 parts are readily available because so many 4020's were built and are so popular.

Could I ask what symptom you are having that requires this valve? That might point us in the right direction.
