Part fell off, where does it go?

Does that hose look to have had a clamp on the bottom end. If not (photo is not detailed enough to see) then it isn't a diesel return line because it would be clamped on both ends.

Looks like it could be an overflow hose from the coolant reservoir.

After a quick inspection, that's the only thing visible on my B2620. Seems like it would difficult for it to simply "fall off" however.

If it is the diesel overflow line, I'm not sure how I would know. I popped the cap on the fuel tank and can't see anything there. How do you even get to that line to see if it is there or not?

Look around the cap. You will see a brim or cup surrounding the cap. Within that brim there is a hole leading to a hose. This is there incase you overfill or diesel spills out that it won't flow over a hot engine.

That is a tiny pic but I get the point. I will check it out today after work. I'm still not sure how I would get in there.

There is only a clamp on one end of the hose. It looks like the other end just hung there. That is also why I'm thinking it is the diesel overflow line.

On mine, I just raised the hood. The line comes down near the fuel filter.
