Parking Brake dash warning light CK 35 / 4010 hst

Do you get a warning light on your dash when you set the parking brake and tractor is running ?

There is no parking brake warning light on my M6040 dash. I quit using the parking brake. Too easy to drive off with it still on. When I stop with the tractor still running - angle the grapple forward - lower to the ground & apply pressure - drop the rear blade to the ground.

My older DK5010 has the brake indicator and I took two photos up under the dash. The first overexposed (sorry) photo shows the brake lever going through the slot in the dash and two small bolts holding the brake switch. The second better photo shows the switch plugged into two barrow connectors.

The second photo is the important one. If your wiring harness has two connectors dangling where a switch would go then you may be able to get the indicator working. Start by connecting the two terminals together to simulate the switch closing and confirm that the brake light comes on (with ignition on). If it does, buy a switch at the dealer or on Amazon and you'll be good to go.

Brake warning light works on my CK27. But it is really hard to see, and has never been useful as a reminder to disengage the brake.

My manual says that the Parking Brake light is supposed to come on and stay on if tractor is running and brake is set. Mine would be bright enough to be a good reminder. I’m forever driving off with the brake set so I need it. Guess I’ll talk to my dealer about it. Anybody else?

My dash has a parking brake light & also a 4x4 light that light up during the pre start test. Neither work after that.

My 2004 model year CK30hst has the parking brake light and it works. There is a small micro switch that works off the lever that locks the brake pedal. There is one or two dash indicators on mine that were never used by Kioti on my model but the same dash was used for other models and the light was wired for them.

KIOTI CK10 Tractors do not have a Parking Brake switch. You will only see the light when the key is turned to "on".

Yes, an odd attempt at cost savings? In WV if I'm moving I'm usually going up or down so I use 4wd and parking brake regularly. If I try to drive away with the brake on it is rather obvious, I guess because it is so new...? With regular use it becomes pretty automatic so I'm not missing the light...

Dullpain:. Can you confirm if you at least have a set of connectors on your newer CK to enable you to add a switch? Then also reply if/when you decide to jumper them together to test the light to your dash.
Since the 4WD indicator discussion came up, I would like someone with a working 4wd indicator to share a photo of the switch setup and where the connector is located. This is something that I would like to get working on my DK.

There is a parking light on my CK3010 HST, but I don't ever notice it, so I end up driving with the brakes on. Sometimes I don't even see it till I'm back in the shed.

CreekFlats, very interesting. I know that Kioti offers some tractor models and features in some countries/regions, but not in others. Looks like your CK3010 HST is one example. I found it on Kioti's Australian website, but it's evidently not sold in North America. I'm wondering if the parking brake light switch on yours might fit, or be easily adapted to the North American CK3510 series. :scratchchin:

My 2018 CK35010SE HST has a parking brake light on the instrument panel that illuminates with the rest when the ignition is switched to "on", but, as Michigan Iron & Equipment posted, there is no switch installed to illuminate it when the parking brake is set.

Also, I'm wondering if your linkage might need adjustment on your parking brake. When my brake is firmly set, the tractor won't move! :no: So, as a practical matter, I don't even need an indicator light to tell me I forgot to release the brake. :laughing:

The brake setup is different on the regular CK10 models than the CK10SE models. On the regular CK10 model the brake pedal pivot is below the floor board. On the SE models, the pivot is above in the steering column.
