Pallets in fields

Does anybody else here that has been following this thread, spend way too much time looking at pallets when you see them around? Today driving home on the freeway, I was eyeing them strangely stacked on (not in) the bed of a full sized pick up. After following them for a minute I decided I should get in the other lane. I hope I am not developing a phobia. I have plenty around the house, most securely weighted down but not all.

I've heard that because innocent pallets have been unfairly targeted it will soon be a hate crime to attack a pallet without cause and if it's a pallet of color? Oh boy! :shocked:

I hope I am well clear of the statue of limitations... and I should probably keep my mouth shut in case... but I cut up several colored pallets quite awhile ago trying to repurpose some beautiful mahogany slats from SE Asia I presume. It wasn't 'hate' in my mind but I did get a little angry after fighting with the stout ring nails used for their construction.

You're not alone Mate. I know that my 'eye' is now trained to spot a pallet or pallets; assessing the condition of them and the desirability for future use.

In a related fashion, one thing that no one ever talks about being an adult is how much time you debate yourself on keeping a cardboard box because it's, like, a really good box!

The post actually WAS relevant. The discussion included pallets, and it was a recently revived zombie thread. Personally, I prefer to see a description as to why the link was inserted, but still.
