Pallets in fields

I'm not sure... but am I on to the origination of inverted Vs?

Seems there is a natural tendency for pallets to take form other than flat and stacked. Obviously, it must be very difficult for them to arrange themselves that way. Granted, my sample size is small but from my observations, it appears they need more than two to begin the journey. Then the question begs... how do they break off into couples?

dragoneggs, you may be correct! Each of these photos show that a pallet wants to be flat AND ready to carry or support whatever is put upon it. A pallet's natural, instinctive, urge is to do this... if no 'load' is available, then other pallets will supply that 'load'.

What appears to be a 'leaning' pallet is actually a pallet in the process of stacking. It follows that the base, or bottom, pallet is the dominate pallet... calling other pallets to attend to it's need for a 'load'.

The original "Pallets in fields" are two dominate pallets, battling it out (like mountain goats :goat:) to see who will be the base!

This is big news. :scratchchin:

How do we know they couple up? It may be entirely possible they are like cattle. You know, one male pallet for every 15-30 female pallets?

Wow! That's the best hypothesis I've seen.

I always thought it strange that i is the plural of us. (sometimes)

"He has to ride two bi to get to his job."

"Three employees got boni for great work."

"There were two circi in town this month."

"Two walri surfaced near our boat."
