The tops of his ears looked like inverted Vs. I think there is a connection to the pallets in question.

Thanks for sharing that, Bruce. That's the first time I've ever seen a stripper clip in use.

His rate of fire would have doubled if he hadn't dropped the rifle from his shoulder after each round.

Wow! Did you notice the hang fire on the third round?

I looked through youtube and found several labeled "rapid fire" but they were all medium fire. They were operating the bolt in four motions with two fingers and thumb.

I was taught the fast method in the 1950's by a WWII veteran ordnance captain. Two curved motions, up and back, forward and down, using the palm of your hand on the bolt. I didn't find any videos of that.

The British SMLE is even faster, as the bolt handle and trigger are close enough that it can be operated without letting go of the bolt knob, and firing with the middle finger.

On second thought, maybe the pallets just got wet and someone stacked them in Inverted Vs to dry out. Maybe it is that simple.

You must be one of the pallet people. Throwing up a logic screen to get us off track.
Were on to your trick.

In the basement I have a giant bushel gourd cut into the shape of a Roman helmet. Seems like it's time to wrap in tin foil and start wearing it to ward off the advancing pallets. They are onto us. Maybe I was tripped in the barn and actually I was out there counting pallets to give to the neighbor. Hmmm.

Pallets beat the snot out of this poor guy. Watch yourself.

Sheriff corporal in ND rescues man trapped under pallet

GRAND FORKS (AP) — A sheriff corporal in northeastern North Dakota has rescued a man trapped under a pallet of cardboard.
The Grand Forks Sheriff's Office said deputies found 24-year-old Daniel Svir pinned under a pallet when they responded to a medical assist report at Countrywide Sanitation. Svir was found facing down, bleeding from his face and having difficulty breathing.

Cpl. Thomas Inocencio quickly found a forklift and got the pallet off of Svir. Inocencio then assisted Svir until paramedics arrived.
Sheriff Bob Rost said Inocencio's quick thinking prevented Svir from getting further injured.

The Grand Forks man was transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.
