I believe the reason for the pallets in the field will be discovered if only someone would take a picture of them AT NIGHT!
The OP (sparc) has been asked numerous times to provide additional information regarding the pallet mystery. The message above is illustrative of the data required by scientists if we are to solve the mystery. Except for a few tidbits early on, he has failed to provide any additional information that we could use in our quest for scientific knowledge I have coined the verb, sparc, that describes this type of misbehavior. See

Here are related misbehaviors:
Trollingis an Internet slang term used to describe any Internet user behavior that is meant to intentionally anger or frustrate someone else, though not to be confused with
cyberbullying a form of online harassment targeting a specific individual or group in a deliberate and hostile manner, or
pranking, which similarly involves playing jokes on strangers for one's amusement, but typically implies more coordination and intent.

My underling assumption is that sparc was neither pranking (trying to deceive the leading scientists of the 21st century as did the pranksters who created the Piltdown Man in the early 20th century) nor trolling (intentionally frustrating scientists in their quest for knowledge) when he started this thread -- I cannot imagine that he could be so vile, so despicable.
Sparcing (pronounced sparking) differs from the other misbehaviors in that sparcing entails nonfeasance -- the failure to act where action is required, either willfully or in neglect.
(S)parc has chosen to ignore our requests for additional information either:
(a) willfully and thus he is a slacker, a shirker, a layabout, or
(b) out of negligence and he is neglectful, remiss, careless, lax, irresponsible, inattentive, heedless, thoughtless, unmindful, forgetful, slack, sloppy, and derelict.
My hope is that sparcing will show up in the OED, and if not there, at least in the Urban Dictionary.
