Pallets in fields

I drove by a pallet that was painted up like an American flag today. It was very near a Tory fort from the Revolutionary War. Maybe reenactors have something to do with this phenomenon.

Were the stars arranged in a circle?

If so, that pallet could be a 'ranging mark' for the fort's cannon and musket fire.

Many years ago, we had some pallet menders who lived down the road, give us a trailer load of rejects for nothing. A few years later I need a few for gates on a corral. I had to pay $2.50 apiece.

We get the with solar panels on them. We put a pile in front of our shop for free almost every night.

Why so? stuckmotor said it was a "Tory fort" = Loyalist fort.

The re-enactors from the fort (British) would hardly be firing on a Union Jack.

I spent some time in a bookstore today, and found this. Proof of more pallet infiltration into homes and yards.

I don't believe the stars were in a circle and didn't think to count them to date the flag.

After researching this since 2013 locally farners use FEL's to spot needed supplies and when used they do the inverted V so they don't get ran over and can be found to be picked up later.
