Many years ago, we had some pallet menders who lived down the road, give us a trailer load of rejects for nothing. A few years later I need a few for gates on a corral. I had to pay $2.50 apiece.

Yes, but we typically refer to it as 'woodshed'.

I like pallets. I like accumulating them and using them, even re-purposing them if required.

As the old adage goes, "If you have livestock, you'll have deadstock" and the same goes for pallets... if you anthropomorphise your 'stock' you'd go mad.
