I am looking for a good quality but cheap paintball gun. I am most interested in price with durability a second. In addition to the fun value, it will actually serve a business purpose of marking territory and of course, spot painting the high spot on my barns. :)

Recommendations appreciated.

I don't own one, but I understand that Tippman is a good brand. Where I used to live one of the neighbor kids got one and his dad and I had to try it out first. It was fun to play with. When you get your's I'm sure you'll have fun. maybe you can get a picture of spotted squrrels or possums!:D

Ive allways wanted to fit one behind the grille of my F250 and have a remote trigger setup . Id love to be able to leave my mark on the back of rude arrogant drivers cars as they go by . They'd know the "bird" they gave me on the way past was not the final word when they got home .

Get a spider or clone.. lotsa support.. widely used.. etc.

if this were 10ys ago.. I'd have mentioned a mirage.. etc.

Alternately.. you can check with paintball fields and see what gear they use.. that will do 2 things for you.. 1, tell you what is the cheapest, best gun.. as that is what they will be using.. plus it will start you off with a gun that you can get local parts and support for.. most fields will repair equipment for a small fee if you buyt he parts from them.. or patronize their field.

even the 'box store' guns like you get at walmart.. etc.. ( brass eagle.. etc. ) are pretty good now..

I believe I specifically mentioned antique tractors.. besides.. you can see my user profile and emails on the board anyway.... I use the same handle everywhere... not like some people that use different handles everywhere...

Our boys each got one for Christmas, One is a Tippmann A5 and the other is a Spyder Phoenix ,both seem to be quite good and have the Spiraled barrels for slight better accuracy. The Spyder has more flash and an electronic hopper that feeds the ammo without fail , but the A5 to my knowledge hasn't failed with the factory hopper.. The A5 seems to get alot of respect on the "field of honor" from other paintballers..

Don't really know if this helps much in your quest, but Tippman is a pretty popular brand and I'm pretty sure the 98 model is cheaper than the A5...

Happy Hunting err: Painting!!
