I figured I would post my results from painting my sickle bar this past weeekend.
so as a recap I purchased a gallon of ACE brand industrial paint. I was using a sypon sprayer. i set the psi at the gun to 50. I mixed to a ratio close to 3 to 1. the paint went down nice, no runs no sags dried to the touch in about 1.5 hours
I put on 3 med coats. looks good.
AS a side note this is a implement I plan on using once or twice a year, I was not looking for a perfect finish just to clean it up and use it. I took care of all the surface rust with
a product called rust mort (a rust converter)
