I don't seem to be able to get the smith toughcut set that Monkeywrench recommended for anywhere close to a reasonable price in Canada. My choices seem to be limited to a victor cutskill set which is made offshore using USA made components or a uniweld set that is made in the USA.

Anyone feel like throwing some advice out there ?.

What ever you buy will likely outlast you. Smith is good but the tips are outrageously priced. If you get the Victor or Uniweld you will be able to source decent aftermarket tips for a few bucks.

Go to the downtown air liquide I recomended, and take a look at their blueshield torches. Made by COCONA, a really nice set. You can get after market airco tips for them, as the ones at air liquide cost way too much. Its what I have, and am really happy with it.

Princess Auto just had a "Victor - style" set on for $149. Santa brought me a set to replace the set I sold a few years ago. Offshore it is, but will work for me.
