All of the sudden my 5100 is overheating every time I mow with my 6 House rotary mower
How often do you blow the radiator?
Don't use water as it will create mud with all the dust and trash and it will block the fins of the radiator. Blow it with compressed air or a blower.
Blow mine out with compressed air then wash it out with the pressure washer with a wide fan nozzle. I do that every day when I'm running hay like I am now. get home, blow the machine off (whatever it is), look it over for issues, the blow out the rad and wash it out with the pressure washer.
Just washing it wit water will cause the chaff to swell and block the fins but air then water does the job for me on both my tractors. I can look right through the rad (where I can see through) and it's clean as a whistle. My tractors never overheat.
Just finished 2 hrs of mowing and after adjusting the fan/alt belt temperature never got over the 1/2 way mark...obviously that was the whole problem!
