I would like to find a dealer online or by phone that I could order a W.R. Long Electric Hydraulic Valve Kit from.

I called W.R. Long directly, but they only accept orders from dealers. I checked their online list and none are from Michigan.

I could get a local dealer to order, but I will have to make a trip or too. And with the price of fuel plus the time and hassle, online or phone orders work the best for me.

I have a Kubota L3430 with the LA513 loader.

Thanks,

ksmmoto

Before I bought mine (from the local JD dealer) I emailed Nelson Long and he sort of implied that he would sell directly if no WRL dealer was within a reasonable distance. He didn't actually say that but his tone of writing implied that to me. You might try emailing and stating your case.

If you want, check with Kiohio here on TBN (AKA Jeff). He ordered a toothbar from Long for me and offered to have it shipped to my house. He may be able to help you out some.

It really doesn't matter where you buy it. Most dealers don't keep them in stock so they're all being shipped from Tarboro, NC. The question is whether you want it to ship to a local dealer then you pick it up or you want it shipped directly to your house.

Carver (as mentioned in an earlier post) has no problem ordering the product and having it shipped directly to you.

I just ordered mine through Carver and it was very easy. Carver seems to take this internet/email/phone business seriously and follows up with good customer service.

Make sure you specify which type of connectors you need on the loader end of your hoses. In my case, they assumed regular tractor type (whatever those are called) but they were willing to trade them for flat faced skid steer type that my grapple requires.

I just ordered the W.R Long Valve Kit today from Carver. They was fast and friendly, called back when they had a question from Long. It should arive by FedEx next week.

If time allows I will post photos and steps to install on my Kubota L3430 with LA513 loader.

Steve Carver, Carver Equipment is a great guy. In my search for the holy grail (right tractor for me) he spent a lot of time with me. He is very helpful person and I would be very comfortable buying from him if I could just make up my mind. I just can't say enough nice things about him.

Good luck.

I agree 100%. I am getting ready to move and once I do, I will be buying my tractor from him also.

I have one on my Kubota that controls the grapple.

The electric hydraulic valve is a 12v solenoid operated aux valve. It is pumbed in series with your loader valve just like any other aux valve. It is a true third function since it's just another aux valve in the system.

On the other hand, a diverter takes the output of a set of work ports from an existing valve and diverts the work port flow to a different set of cylinders depending on the setting of the rocker switch.

The WR Long valve is a double solenoid (one for each work port) that is mounted on an industry standard DO3 plate. Energizing the 12V causes the soleniods to direct the fluid flow in the proper direction (one pressure and one return) depending on the position of the 3 position rocker switch.

The electric/hydraulic valve tends to be a little more expensive than a diverter (due to the mounting plate) and is much more flexible since it is a standalone valve in itself.
