Ordered X540

I just bit the bullet and ordered a X540. I had a bunch of opitons to wade through such as ZTR, trading my L2800 and going to a SCUT with a belly mower, but in the end the JD won out. Now the hard part is waiting until the end of the month when it comes in. Phoey.

I'll be very interested in what you have to say about the X540 when you get it. I'm going through the same mind games. I have a 10 year old Legacy right now that has mowed probably in excess of 400 acres over the years, and I'm a bit nervous about going to something smaller, but now that I have the Kubota, I really don't need the heavier garden tractor features. Do you plan on moving snow with it?

No snow. I live in Mississippi and the last real snow we had was in 1982 and it lasted most of a day but it really messed the traffic up that morning.

I looked at your state abbreviation quickly, and thought it was MN. Sure is a difference in the snow potential!

Congratulations! I am on my second season with the 500 Series (X534) I bought and have been very happy with the performance.
