Operating a gear tractor

/ Operating a gear tractor #11
I have a shuttle shift Ford, an HST BX 2200 and a GST Kubota L35. To me the biggest drawback of the HST is that if you want the power you have to have the danged rpm up which I HATE! Everything has advantages and disadvantages, we all seem to make our tractors work though.

Secondly, I haven't had much use for these moving graphics, email boxes that open and close, blinking words, etc, they all seem like worthless nonsense...

UNTIL NOW! Your operating loader is fantastic! Could you let an HTML neophyte in on it?

Well, I put in two days for tractor time. Monday and Wednesday. 10 hours straight each day. Plowed snow Tuesday 12 hours. Plowed snow Thursday and towing. Friday what normanlly is a 20 min. ride to work turned out to be 2 hr ordeal, then sanded the drive. Saturday sanded again all day! Maybe I can join the "mad shoveler" and get some of those white pills he was talking about.

Found that #1 works better 75% of the time. #2 is needed when using the differental lock, as del mentioned. Del, where can I get a pair of the clown shoes?

My legs are still sore from clutching and braking, a lot back and forth. Found out I get about a gallon per hour fuel comsumtion. Did do some slight damage to the loader will post what happened in a new post. Also found you get what you pay for when you buy chains. They didn't break just not as good of traction as I had wanted.

The thaw here was something else. Then snow banks are hard now and still have more loader work about 8 to 12 hours (depends on how hard the banks really are).

I got some pics of the snow removal being developed and will post them early next week.

Thanks for all the replies. It's nice to know there are still some gear heads out there!

Beat, tired, sore and over worked in VT
