Yeah, that's what I have been carrying as well -- and encountering the same issues. That's what prompted me to ask the question.

LCP easily fits into a pocket. Not the easiest to get to if I'm sitting on the tractor, but I can always stand up or lean back and stretch out my leg if I need to get to it.

I carry pretty much all the time when I'm bush hogging, simply because of all the darned cats that show up. I can start cutting and within 20 minutes, I'll have four or five cats prowling around, just about all the time, it's easy to tell they ain't pets and nobody close to me has cats. (My garage cat stays up around the garage, he doesn't join in).
Holsters were a pain to wear on the tractor and my tool box is under the seat, so I went with a lightweight concealed carry vest. It has a pocket fairly high up under my left arm, easy to get to wit the velcro closures and I've never worried about losing it. It doesn't get dirty, but even so, wouldn't make much difference since I clean any pistol I take out before I return it to the safe.

I carry everywhere, and the tractor is no exception.

To everyone saying a holster is uncomfortable it sounds like you have the wrong holster.

I currently use an alien gear outside the waistband holster and comfortably carry a larger sized CZ P-07 while driving truck or tractor.

...Those cats are most likely showing up to catch and eat all the mice, voles, etc that you dislocate while Bush hogging.
At least that's my experience.

Ever found yourself thinking “I need a firearm right now” while operating a tractor?

What was your solution?
... Need one while on the tractor.? Not really. Sometimes I may have wanted one, but it wasn't necessarily a need.
On a combine during deer season, is a different story. Lol

I guess you aren't kidding. Not only no, but H*LL NO. I HAVE NEVER wanted or needed a firearm, of any type, while operating my tractor.

About a year ago we had some drugstore cowboy walking around our little town with a six-shooter strapped on. Everybody was talking/laughing about this crazy yahoo and his gun. Finally, I guess the sherrif told him to either take it off or get out of town. What a joke.

Good thing about the USA most places you can carry if you want, Just don't tell us that we can't (carry) and most of us will be good with it. For all the gun haters out there just look at Chicago and tell me how Gun Control is working out there. Just saying I have never seen a gun go off all by its self.
