Most auctions do this now - a bid in the last minute extends the bid another minute which I think is fair and is the way auctions work.

I was bidding on a Kubota B26 on eBay with a max bid 2K higher - and was winning at 28K until the last 15 seconds someone won for just over 30 as I could not bid fast enough - that was aggravating to get sniped like that.

Be aware of the fees when you buy a smaller item. We bought a box blade and we are happy with it, BUT after the fees, we could have just gone down to Tractor Supply and bought one for the same price.

Not complaining because we're happy with the box blade, but now we know for next time.

Yes, I looked at the buyer fees. I was looking at a few different minis and 2 of them had a 15% fee and one had an 11% fee. I adjusted my max bid accordingly and won the one that had the 11% fee.

Here is a completed auction link from NW WI (10% buyers fee). There must be a huge demand for mini (gas) excavators, because they have this auction every 3 or 4 weeks. It will give you an idea of the prices they are fetching.
