Massey Ferguson 492 w/Quicke Q750 loader
Of the two hydraulic remotes on my Massey Ferguson 492 the forward position on the right hand remote does not work. Pulling it rearward works but the forward throw does nothing? any ideas?

recheck any QD's. if still nada, then see if pulling one rear makes tee others forward work. if so.. pilot problem.

I mounted my snow plow on the loader boom today and connected the two hoses to the open rear outlets. The others are for the rear blower shoot rotation. I had to remove the blower hoses and place the plow hoses where the blower was. Plow angles left and right just fine. Put the blower hoses on the other qc's and the shoot only rotates one direction. Won't move at all in opposite direction. Rechecked connections and they are seated firmly.

Sounds to me like one of your blower hoses has a bad QD - if both have the same sex connectors, try reversing the hoses - if the blower still only turns the same way with the valve moved the OTHER way, but STILL won't turn the SAME DIRECTION it wouldn't turn before, you have a bad QD... Steve

(BTW, this is a VERY common problem)

Try this, remove the both work port hoses at the cyl for the spool that you say only works half way.

Place open end hose in a bucket and operate the lever fwd and back. Do you have flow from both hoses.

If not, remove the cans on the bottom of the valve and inspect, clean and tighten nut on end of spool.

Lube the assembly and replace the cans.

Check spools for proper operation.

I tried removing opposite couplers and functioning the control with no difference. Still no movement when pushing the right hand control forward. Today I tried to remove the upper right coupler but the space for the wrench is too narrow to get a wrench in there, will have to grind one down to fit. Was going to reverse the two couplers to see if the same problem still exists.

Does your loader valve have regen, and if so, is it in the first part of lever travel or at the end of lever travel.

If the regen is first, the return port is closed off and no fluid can exit the valve, as all the fluid is going to the motor, and a motor has to have an exit for the fluid.

Does the lever even move to the end position?

Have you checked the ends of the spool that has the centering springs, regen and float.
