Older Rexroth Dual gear pump

have a old rexroth pump off of a 5488 IH . The gears in good shape and housing just the 2 thrust plates need replaced. Is there any place i can buy these or some body make them?

When you say thrust plates are you talking the end plates? If so, take to a grinding shop and have them reground or lapped. If it has gaskets on each end, make sure you use the same thicknest.

ther are 2 plates with brass or copper on them. and there is metal missing. i do not know what the correct spec are . and can they add metal to them

What I was talking about well not work for you. I thought you just needed the end plates where the gears run retrued up. The plates and surface inside you would need some spec and then maybe a surface grinder would work.

I believe John henry Foster company in St. Louis is the Rexroth rep for your area. There might be a rebuild kit for your pump available but it could also be that a new pump is les cost that the rebuild.

Since this is from an IH it may also be a proprietary item to IH.

ETS Hydro in Memphis is also a large Rexroth pump rebuild center.
