Howdy Folks,

I have a model year 2005 JD 3520 eHydro that has a throttle lever that is beginning to loosen so that it won’t hold in place. I’ve seen the parts diagrams for all of the linkages, but I can’t figure out how to remove the operator’s station cowlings that surround the first linkage bolt location that I want to tighten. These are the cowlings under the steering wheel that need to be removed for access to the bolt location.

Does anyone have an older model 3520 technical manual that they are willing to share or at least post screenshots of the cowlings and how they are removed?

Much thanks!

Weave your way into the throttle handle pivot system where there is a friction adjustment. On my 4300, that was not easy but somewhat straight forward picking apart what you can remove. Link to JD parts

Schematic/drawing of the parts you need to adjust. Key #6 is the nut to tighten. Cab or open station?
Thanks!

Yea, I've seen that parts schematic and am planning on tightening the key #6 nut you mention. Now, I just need to get access to the nut. :)

My unit is an open station and the throttle lever is on the right-hand side of the steering wheel. I'm going to try and remove the #12 Right Side Dash Cowl as noted in the below schematic. The challenge is that I don't know where the Dash Cowl is bolted to the frame and other components, and I was hoping that the tech/service manual would note all of these nuts to remove so that I can remove the cowl.

The 4300 (predecessor to the 3520) does not. Maybe the 3520 does. Your thought of the dash cowl is a good one, and I'd go into the fuse door as well. It's in there somewhere. ;);)
