older jd disk

just picked up an older jd 105 disc the other week. 6ft and pretty heavy duty about 500+ lbs. should work great to turn the garden and grind in some compost, as well as some other disk duties i have. good used disks are hard to come by in my area, so i jumped on this one. could use fresh paint,but all in all it has been well cared for and not abused. should last me a very long time,plus didn't cost an arm and a leg. i would have liked 2 get a tiller but the disk, and my walk behind tiller will do.

looks good, a farmer friend gave me a 10ft hydraulic lift disc. it all works and looks pretty good. it is rust color, but it will soon be massey red

Looks to me like it is in good shape. I hope you have a good size tractor to lift that thing.

I picked up an old Ford disk a few years back. While new paint will make it look good, new grease will make it work good. Don't forget the grease changing a shaft is a real pain.

That disk should outlast you, even if you are a young guy.
