As as 45 year motorcycle -SXS tech.
It hard to beat a Kawasaki ,Honda, Yamaha.
They all have some great models.
I still see about them as a hobby.
Personally I don't like the thought of $1000 worth of batteries.
All of the Diesels seem it ride ruff and are noisy .
All the ones you can buy at big box stores have no dealer support,

I have a 1990 Honda 300 4 trax 4 wheeler. Always starts, even after sitting for months. Built like a tank, never any trouble but now (after all these years) the starter needs a tap to make it start, so new starter is needed. Almost bought a 2012 Honda Pioneer, 700. Went to see it, started right up, drove it out of the shop and up hill, trans started slipping. Got better after it warmed up a bit. I hesitated, did some research. Turns out the undersized clutch plates wear a lot, particles mix in the trans+engine oil and clog the oil pump inlet! This causes low oil pressure, and engine + trans damage. They are also known for cam and valve train problems. I didn't buy it, and was super disappointed that Honda would design it this way. Seems like every SxS brand has reliability issues and most are not real rugged for how they are used. Golf carts are dead simple, cheap to run and fix, parts are cheap. But limited to where they will go off road.
