Hello
Has anybody here converted an old belt drive buck saw to 3 point?

And how did you go about it?:(

Not really looking for 1 to purchase. I have 2 of the old belt driven ones
I would like to convert to pto driven.
Although I checked out the web site and it is quite nice looking unit.

I saw an old belt-drive buzz saw for sale a while back and contemplated doing what you're asking about, but after reading numerous threads on an arborist forum, I decided to let it go....

Instead I buck my wood with it lying across my bucket forks or use a wood vise for the smaller ones.

I have 2 buzz saws that look alot like the Vermont one. Bought them used at auction sales. Lots of belt driven ones around because it costs too much to convert them, can buy a used pto one cheaper. PTO shaft, pulleys, belts, steel and welding time all add up.
