I was really looking for a stick and or garden type landscape rake, but this sort of ended up in my arms.

It is a rake.....but....

1 is not much use for sticks etc, they just pass on through.
2 no good for piling up rocks, even 1ft ones roll out

So my thinking was, it would be good for scratching up the ground, for leveling some loose soils and gravels, pulling up rocks and roots in loose areas, and if I had a horse track, probably good to drag around that our other similar places.

So, I am asking....

1 Do you know what it is officially & potentially the brand (it has a plate but well and truly worn name off)
2 What other uses can you see for this ?

It isn't going to pick up much more than loose grass with the spacing it has. Looks like it would do a fair job of raking freshly plowed ground to break up the clods but that is about all.

Yes, I was actually thinking hay rake may have been original intention.

Dragging over pasture it pulls up rocks, over loose soil it brings rocks and roots etc to surface but yeah, it would probably be good at breaking up clumps, clods etc too.

It also scratches a fair bit due to weight when you go over pasture, so I am thinking of using it and some kind of drag harrow or old gate once I spread pasture mix seed to beef up what is already existing & on any loose area. Before I got it, person said it was about 100kg which is a bout 240pound ish, no way it is that light.....lol

First torch been tines straight than welder hot glue tines in place.

Rake might come in hand roughing surface or loose hay more so if it was dump rake.

So your saying straighten them all up, then weld them so they are fixed in place ?

Someone added that gal pipe to hold them in place, when you drop it and top link adjusted, they are all pretty much digging into the dirt somewhat where the pasture is good, and in a lot if soil is loose.

I could straighten and re tack loose ones back to pipe, but have not done that as some rocks it has pulled up are quite large, so was even thinking the pipe may be a hindrance ?

Those look like the teeth off a horse-drawn dump rake for hay. I think we are looking at somebody's custom fabrication for who knows what custom application ... I hope it did the job it was fabbed for!

There is more on the plate than appears. Maybe someone with better image skills can bring more out.

I can see "The" and "tractor" ..... so now I conclude it is a..... lol ......

I was thinking of putting ink or something on the plate, till it seemed clear that much of it has printing and the stampings all seem clear & likely are model and or serial numbers.
