I am getting close to buying a Yanmar and i want to know what type of oil would be best to run.

A good quality oil rated for diesel. We use Chevron Delo 400, 15-40 or Shell Rotella, but there are others as well.
 
/ Oil #3  
I use Shell Rotella T 15W-40. It is available at Wal-Mart. In our area, it is just over $6/gal.
