Oil with green tint

Hi all, new member! So I have an oil sample out for analysis but wanted to start discussion about diagnosing this.

I have a 2015 Kioti DK40HSE that I purchased used private sale with 800 hours a couple years ago. I changed the oil then with Rotella t5. This winter at 878 hours I changed that out with Delo Xsp. I am currently at 920 hours.

Long story short(maybe not) a friends old jeep had an oil leak and had gone dry in winter storage. Week or so ago I brought him some used oil to put in and get an idea where it was. It ended up being the rotella and was bright green tinted like mixed with fresh coolant. At the time I didn't know it was even my tractors and had not seen that when I drained it probably as most of this gets done at night in poorly lit garage.

So returned home and when checking my oil in the sunlight sure enough the new stuff is tinted green as well.

It's not the usual chocolate milk you would think of from a headgasket.

Tractor runs good and not overheating. Every once in a while a puff of white smoke when starting but I had always associated that with it being time for valves to be adjusted.

So far I have:
-Sent out an oil sample to confirm what is in there.
-checked the radiator and overflow with tractor running. No bubbles and the coolant is very clean and green. Level is right in the middle and I have never added or flushed the coolant since having it.
-oil level is also full but not overfull

Anyone seen something like this before? This is a 4a200 natural aspirated 2 liter 4cyl with no Def which I was hoping was going to be more reliable vs the newer little turbo deals:-(

Compression test? What is the best way for that.... in the glow plug or injector hole? I have a gas tester good to 300psi, is that enough for this? Probably going to need an adapter for the thread anyways so might end up trying to borrow from the parts store.

I have some decent pictures but don't think I am able to post them yet where I am new to TBN.

UOA will determine if there is coolant in the oil. Once you have the results, please post them. No idea what turns your oil green.

A wild guess would be hydraulic oil or diesel fuel. It could be nothing is wrong either.

I hope your right on the last part but I would have a hard time feeling comfortable even if that's what the oil analysis says.

My feel good theory was maybe previous owner had put some dye in somewhere but I can't see it staying this bright thru an oil change.

Hard to make a guess. The original owner had put some type of green dye in the oil and it carried over to the Rotella. Interesting to learn what the oil analysis shows.

Any chance the oil is Brad Penn? It's green.

I’ve never seen coolant in the oil that didn’t mix and make it milky. The oil that’s sitting in the jugs could separate but it would take a while for the in use oil to.

If it's not milky I would think the green is florescent dye for leak detection. I didn't know any oils came with it. Usually the dye is added in by a shop or owner.

The 2 oil/filter changes I have done since owning have not used Brad Penn.

Would be great if the analysis confirmed it was likely just a dye or at least not coolant or fuel. Would also be a mystery how it got there as it hasn't left my property since I've owned it.
