Looking for suggestions on oil filter removal. Gone through 5 oil wrenches on my Ck3510hse trying to remove the motor oil filter. Probably try a good strap wrench next. Anyone know what size cap wrench fits the filter, 93mms x 15 tooth is too loose.
Away from my tractor right now but if a good strap wrench doesn't work I will try the screw driver method. it will have to wait to after there is no snow in case something goes wrong.
The cap wrench I bought just slips. It's kinda like it's a weird size.
I've been pleased with the Innovant Adjustable 3 Jaw Oil Filter Wrench . It grabs my tractor and 7,3 filters fine.
I have had that experience too.first oil change on the new engine in my 2010 truck a few months ago I crushed it with a strap wrench and pull handle. only option was a long screw driver and then I tore it to pieces getting it off .
Cut a piece of old inner tube to fit around the inside of the cap wrench. This helps to keep it from slipping on
the filter. Of course if the other wrenches did not work, a strap wrench or screwdriver is probably your answer
as others have said.
