That is illegal, Magusson-Moss warranty act forbids this.
For the brand of oil, yes. But they can void a warranty if the brand you use doesn't meet their specs.

Every engine mfgr. has API specifications for their products, if any brand motor oil exceeds those specs it is approved by the engine mfgr.
reference: API Engine Oil Lubricant Specifications - oilspecifications.org
CJ-4 and CK-4 are the latest specifications for diesel motor oil, and are approved for use in any diesel engine brand listed on the label.

Unless you are buying some obsolete brand from a dollar store, or fleabay/amazon crap, every brand meets or exceeds their specs.

Off-name brands at dollar stores are one thing, but Amazon retails all the same brands of diesel oil that everyone else is selling.
Regarding their Amazon basics labeled gasoline engine oil.. It passes all the usual specs, and is a decent oil. It’s a Warren oil like Supertech, and couldn’t be used as a warranty denial.
They don’t market an Amazon Basics diesel oil.

I know this has probably been beat to death on here but does OEM Tractor oil have something magical that Shell Rotella or other standard oils do not have? They are always more expensive and "specially formulated" for their diesel engine.

What would happen if you put John Deere oil in Kubota tractor, etc? Is this a scare tactic to get you to pay more for the OEM oil to your tractor or is there something in the special sauce that makes their oil the best for their tractor?

Are all these diesel tractor engines that much different that you should use only theirs?
Manufacturers oil are all rebranded oils such as Toyota and Honda oil is rebranded mobile one. As far as warranty is concerned it’s literally unlawful for them to void a warranty because you didn’t use “their” oil or even had oil service done there. If your engine blows up it is their responsibility to prove that poor lubrication caused the issue. My opinion on oil will always be go with amsoil the are simply the best on the market.

WilliamBros is correct if it meets the specs no warranty issues. Motor hydraulic manufactures do not make their own oil. They bid it out to the oil manufacturers to their specifications which follow API specifications

"...only theirs?" usually, in my opinion, is a selling tactic which assumes the owner of such equipment doesn't know much about his options. If the specs indicate S.A.E.'s and A.P.I.'s and synthetic, ie 100% synthetic or full-synthetic, petroleum based then the decision is easy.

Every time I see people posting about Magusson-Moss, I wonder if they are just taking the academic approach to this issue or if they understand the actual practical implications of how this would play out for them. Use an alternate brand engine oil that is the correct SAE viscosity and the correct API (like CJ-4), then you have an engine failure. Dealer does the lab analysis and determines it was an oil quality issue. Now what? You fight with the dealer or you now have to go file a suit against Walmart SuperTech or Shell? So let's say you go sue Shell. They will be like, hey show us you receipt and the batch number from the bottles you used. Oh crap, I have the receipt but the bottles are in the landfill. Are people trying to say that it's then the dealer's responsibility to chase down Walmart or Shell to root cause the problem which in this case we're assuming is because of a faulty batch of oil? And hydraulic fluids are a whole different story because regardless of the claims on the backs of those labels, there are not vendor neutral SAE standards for hydraulic fluids.
