Very nice tractor! Are the rear tires set as wide as possible? Could you take a few more pictures showing the tires, how wide they're set, etc? Thanks, there aren't as many on here with the R1's.

My L4240 was delivered with the rears set in the narrow position and I found it to be too unstable. I ended up setting them in the mid position and it made a big difference. The wide setting was too much for my use. The 1st picture is narrow and 2nd is the mid setting. Nybirdman's L4240 looks to be in the mid width setting also.

New tractors always look so nice. :cool2: I see that you ordered your tractor with 2 rear remotes. Are you planning on getting Top and Tilt hydraulics?

Yes, definitely Top and maybe Tilt later. I only use one remote now for my hydraulic feed Salsco chipper.

just got back from a weekend at the ranch. pics of the tractor as promised.

well it took me all of 3 minutes to get stuck and have to use the bucket to "swim" out. when I 1st bought the ranch I saw all the wheat fields around, and they all were using tracked tractors to work the fields. I assumed it was for the steep slopes.. not the horrible soil. granted it had just snowed/rained and it was pretty soupy looking but that was going to stop me from playing. was fun as **** to pull my self around, and get nothing done except dig me ruts ill need to smooth over when it drys out a tad.

Be careful when you pull the top link pin on the rotary cutter, that pto hook can get you. I know.
